Hi, for those who don’t know me, my name is Jasmine and it brings me great pain to admit that I’m Sazzle’s friend (just joking). No, Saz and are great friends, so great that we have decided to embark on our US of A journey together in search of tasty la cross players, giant pretzels and as much soda pop as we can drink, ok I’ve been watching too many movies.

As you know we leave in just over seven months, I know it seems like a lifetime away, but its not really when you consider how much money we have to save! Unlike Sara I have a job in a lovely little bakery that I just adore (yeah right), but I am the worst person to stick to a budget and save, just ask Sara. Everyday I put up with constant abuse from her telling me to stop wasting money on expeditions of going out for dinner and coffee and I always reply that next week I’ll start being good and save, but does it ever happen? From now on I’m going to start saving my pay and live off my youth allowance (if that’s possible), ok maybe I’ll just spend a little from my pay.......

Now that Sara has brought me a travel journal, it has given me inspiration to start saving and the fact that we worked out the other day that I’ll be around $2000 short if I keep saving at the rate I am! So from this day onwards, I’m turning over a new leaf and becoming serious at sticking to my budget and saving! Well I’m off to the bank to deposit my pay from this week, (proud of me Saz).
